A Workshop in keeping Australian Stingless Native Bees
This 4 hour day will include both theory and practical demonstrations.

Program Brief
Morning tea and lunch provided. If you have particular food requirements, you are asked to provide your own.
Water bottle, pen, bee veil and note book.
Respectable clothing suitable for outdoor exposure. Covered shoes.
Maximum of 15 persons, with a minimum of 10.

- Introduction to property and people.
- COVID requirements and general safety and housekeeping.
- PowerPoint presentation with full student-presenter interaction.
- Breaks for morning tea and lunch.
- Practical demonstration of splitting a colony of Native Bees.
- Transfer a colony of Native Bees from a log to a Zabel box.
- Practical demonstration of making Zabel boxes.
- Tools and equipment that we use.
- Full access to public parts of our property. Be mindful of stinging honey bees as we keep honey bees too.
