Found in Queensland, NSW and NT. A beautiful gentle species that tolerates heat, cold, wet, dry, feast or famine. They start flying at 20C. They are very timid in character. They are useful for the pollination of all fruits and vegetables. They are ideal in backyards as they do not sting and are low maintenance. The is a double storey half height brood box with a  half-height honey box on top.
