Found in the Northern Territory and Queensland and survive quite well above the NSW border on the coastal strip of Queensland. Really a tropical climate bee. These are the most powerful of all. They are very difficult to keep in the cooler regions.

The bees are used to pollinate all tropical fruits such as Avocados, Mangoes, Citrus, Stone Fruit and Macadamias. They also are useful for the pollination of all fruits and vegetables. They are ideal in backyards as they do not sting and are low maintenance.
