Russell has always had an interest in Platyceriums (staghorns and elkhorns). He loves the way they look in any location, whether on trees, buildings or mounted on boards. The best part about platyceriums is that they are epiphytes. This means that they can be mounted on living trees and not be parasitic to the host tree.
Russell commenced his hobby/business in 2010 and now has one of the largest collections of platyceriums in Australia.
His property is often visited by enthusiasts and garden clubs and offers a guided tour through his collection.
